Course:Strategic Management
Course Description:
Strategic management is a subject which integrates company strategy, competition strategy and function strategy systematically, and analyzes meanwhile reveals,from the enterprises management level, why the firms can obtain returns higher than the average and how the firm obtain sustainable competitive advantages. It can be explained from three basic problems, they are "what can be done?" , "what should be done? " & "why" . The core issue of Strategic Management is to assign the goal of the enterprise, the choice of the business and development, sustainable competitive advantage, thus to formulate overall and long-term strategy for the enterprise. The solution of the three basic problems, from the theory of strategic management, manifests itself in the effective integration of various theoretical schools of thoughts in order to seek specific ideas and means. In summary, Strategic Management involves four aspects including:formulating clear strategic objectives, analysis of the strategic environment, strategic choice at different levels and implementation and control of strategy based on effective management system.
Objectives
This course aims to achieve the following objectives through teaching, discussion and practice.
1.Enable students to understand and master the basic knowledge system and logical framework of enterprise Strategic Management.
2.Enable students to use the basic knowledge of strategic management to analyze the practice of enterprise management,to form a view of the strategic behavior and choice of enterprises in reality.
3.Enable students to make rational analysis and judgment on the strategic status of enterprises in the real world, and put forward a preliminary strategic proposal.
4.Enable students to form a holistic strategic thinking mode and cultivate their strategic thinking abilities.
Contents
1.Introduction to Strategic Management
Including the connotation of strategy and strategic management, the nature and characteristics of strategic management, process of strategic management, Strategic management system, etc.
2.The mission and strategic goal of the enterprise
3.Strategic Environmental Analysis
Learning and application of various tools for macro, meso and micro environmental analysis.
4.Strategic choice
Including company strategy, competitive strategy, functional strategy, and co-opetition strategy (Strategic Alliance).
5.Implementation and control of strategies
The organizational structure, leadership, resource allocation and strategic control system in the implementation of the strategy.

战略管理是一门系统地整合公司战略、竞争战略和职能战略,从管理学层面分析和揭示企业为什么能获得高于平均回报和如何获得持续竞争优势这一基本命题的学科。这一命题的解决,可以从企业“可以做什么?”、“应该做什么?”、“为什么”三个方面来解释。企业战略管理的核心问题是围绕这三个问题,从企业发展目标的确定、业务的选择和发展、企业持续竞争优势提出企业发展的总体和长远战略。三个基本问题的解决,从战略管理理论上,表现为各个理论学派的有效整合,寻求具体的思路和手段。概括起来,是企业战略目标的确定、战略环境的分析、各层级战略的选择和匹配、战略的实施与控制以及职能战略和管理体系匹配等五个问题。
【课程目标】:
本课程旨在通过讲授、讨论及实践等教学环节,达到以下目的:
1.让学生能够理解并掌握企业战略管理的基本知识体系和逻辑框架;
2.使学生能够运用战略管理的基本知识分析企业管理实践活动,对现实中企业的战略行为与选择形成自己的见地;
3.让学生能够对现实中企业的战略状态做出科学理性的分析判断,提出初步战略建议;
4.逐步使学生形成整体性的战略思维方式,培养学生的战略思维能力。
